Dyson Dynamics was originally a travelling company known as Global Dynamics, providing private flights and buses for vacations and business trips. A small company that people overlooked, and never noticed. After first contact, Global Dynamics sought to quickly rebrand themselves, naming themselves after dyson spheres and advertising that they'd be the first providers of space transportation. At the time, the company had been on its last legs financially. It was a desperate gambit to gain attention.
Somehow, it worked. Dyson Dynamics was among the first to receive documents and designs from the vexori, and was quick to funnel their money into this new opportunity. Along with profits came expansions, and with their healthy supply of ships, they naturally started expanding into the precursor salvage business. They bought the rights to several cheap sections of space, expecting only minimal returns, only to stumble upon dozens of ruins they now had the rights to. The company grew with a new focus on profiting as much as they could from their newly acquired assets, shifting towards researching and selling the technology gained.
Recently, Dyson Dynamics has grown infamous for employing prisoners and marginalized groups for incredibly cheap, and sending them on dangerous missions to dismantle precursor ruins. Mortality rate is high for this job, but for many, it's the only thing they think they can turn to for help. Most of the cast of System Failure work for Dyson Dynamics under this program, bound by contract to complete the mission at any cost.
